This is a three part invention in Wendy Carlos' Alpha, a 'scale' with 9 = parts per Perfect Fifth. This scale never repeats at the octave, but is very consonant and beautiful, with good major and minor thirds, and lovely, exotic minor and Major seconds. The instrumentation for this track is: Piano1 --> Soundhack SpiralStretch; Piano 2 --> Soundhack PitchSift --> Soundhack Spiral Stretch; and Vibraphone --> Soundhack Spiral Stretch. Each "instrument" has it's own settings in the Soundhack plugins. These do not change during the course of this work. But the transformations of the sounds of the pianos and vibraphone yields textures with vocal resonances, horn sounds, etc. This was a lot of fun to put together.
